The Kid LAROI Has the Streaming Numbers of a Superstar. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart - LAROI has been putting up eye-popping numbers on DSPs for months now - with the uptempo, Justin Bieber-assisted “Stay,” and holds the top slot at Hot Rock & Alternative Songs for a 10th week, thanks to acoustic ballad “Without You.” (The latter received a remix with Miley Cyrus in late April and the two performed the track on Saturday Night Live a week later.) On charts dated July 24, he both scores his first No. “I like to keep it moving and just forget about it a little bit.”ĭespite the 17-year-old’s forward-thinking mentality, his impressive charts presence is becoming progressively more difficult to brush aside.
“I don’t really like to think about it too much,” he says during a break from filming a live performance, shortly after finding out about the career-best mark on the chart. It’s the kind of accomplishment that has become increasingly familiar to LAROI in the time since, though has seemingly lost its shine over the past year - so much so, in fact, that he’s already trying to put the recent news of “Stay” debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, which subsequently led to the Australian rapper-singer “jumping around the house all f–king day” in a combination of excitement and shock, as he told Billboard last fall.
